Dermal Filler
Dermal fillers are a safe and effective way to restore lost volume, smooth lines, and enhance natural contours. At Tanuva Aesthetics, all filler treatments are carried out by a fully qualified doctor, ensuring the highest standard of safety and precision. Following our before and after care guidelines will help you achieve the best results.
Before Your Treatment
Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and blood-thinning supplements (e.g. fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo) for 24–48 hours, as these can increase bruising.
Do not have dental work, facials, or skin treatments (microneedling, peels, laser) for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
Postpone treatment if you have an active cold sore, skin infection, or are feeling unwell.
Come with clean skin – no makeup, creams, or oils on the area to be treated.
Inform your doctor of any medications, allergies, or recent procedures.
After Your Treatment
Mild swelling, redness, or bruising is normal and usually settles within a few days.
Apply a cold compress (not ice directly) to reduce swelling.
Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours.
No makeup for 12 hours, and avoid skincare with retinol, acids, or strong actives for 3–5 days.
Avoid strenuous exercise, heat exposure, and alcohol for 24–48 hours.
Sleep on your back with your head elevated the first night to minimise swelling.
Stay hydrated and use SPF daily to protect your results.
Important Notes
Dermal fillers typically last 6–18 months, depending on the area treated and product used.
Results are visible immediately, with optimal results once any swelling subsides.
A review appointment may be offered to ensure you’re happy with your results.
